Project Description
FRESWICK BAY
A great place to spot seals and other cetaceans enjoying the waters.
Freskwick Bay is an intimate beach with its own castle, it is just a short distance off the A99.
This intimate beach is reached off the road to Skirza. From the small car park there is a line of concrete anti-tank blocks laid out in 1940 when it was thought that the Germans might invade the country.
The large building at the far end of the beach is Freswick Castle. It dates from the 15th century and was restored and enlarged in the 1760s.
